Side-by-side comparison

Pickett's Pick'em vs Easy Office Pools

Easy Office Pools has been a category fixture since 2013 - a serviceable leaderboard for $20 a pick'em. Pickett's Pick'em is a modern, sponsor-funded platform built around the things operators actually want: automated recaps, live event notifications, deep pick analytics, in-app golfer scorecards, and bonus prize categories that keep entrants engaged after their picks are locked. Here is the breakdown.

The dual-entry advantage

One submission. Two contests. More game for your people.

Your members pick once. Those picks count in your private group and in the main Pickett's Pick'em at the same time - so they're competing inside your group and stacking up against the wider field for every bonus prize category. Free upside layered on top of whatever you run, and you never administer two systems.

Think of the main pick'em as bonus eligibility your members get for free.

Common questions

Operator FAQ

Is Pickett's Pick'em really free?
Yes. Pickett's Pick'em is free for the operator and free for every entrant. The platform is funded by tournament sponsors and bonus prize partners, not by per-pick'em fees.
What is a "private group" and how is it different from a standalone pick'em?
A private group is your own leaderboard - your members, your name, your rules - that sits inside the main tournament pick'em. Every member of your group is automatically entered in the bigger pick'em too, so they get a shot at the bigger prize pot and bonus categories on top of competing inside your group. Your members get more game without you having to run two systems.
What if a member also enters the main pick'em directly?
That's fine. Your group is a layer on top, not an instead-of.
Can I see my members' picks?
Not until after the deadline, to keep it fair - same as the main pick'em.
Can I keep collecting entry fees off-platform?
Yes. Same as Easy Office Pools, anything you collect from your group is yours to run off-platform - Venmo, cash, club tab, whatever. The platform handles picks, scoring, leaderboards, and bonus prizes. Entry handling is yours.
What tournaments are supported?
All four men's majors get dedicated branded designs: the Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, and the Open Championship.
How do I switch from Easy Office Pools mid-season?
You don't need to migrate anything. Start a Pickett's Pick'em group for the next major and send your members the new join link. Picks take seconds. Your past EOP history stays where it is.
What if there's an issue mid-tournament?
We handle scoring and platform questions. You handle group-specific calls.
How does mobile compare?
Almost 90% of Pickett's Pick'em traffic during tournament week is mobile, and the platform was designed against that constraint from day one - sticky leaderboard headers, touch-friendly pick flows, real-time refresh without a page reload.
What goes in the daily recap email?
After each round, every entrant gets a branded email digest: who's leading, biggest movers in your pick'em, cut-line drama, bonus prize standings, and what to watch for the next round. It is auto-generated from the live data, sponsor and operator branding embedded, no manual work for the admin.
What kinds of live notifications fire during a round?
Around 70 distinct trigger types. The main families are: scoring events on your picks (birdies, eagles, bogeys), leaderboard milestones (lead change, new outright leader, sub-65 round), cut-line shifts, mid-round withdrawals, bonus prize standings updates, and tournament-state transitions (delay, restart, round complete). All accessible via a notification history feed.
What does the pick distribution analytics view show?
A breakdown of every golfer in the field with the percentage of your pick'em that picked them, tier by tier. You can see the consensus play, spot where the field is contrarian, and judge whether your own picks are differentiated. Easy Office Pools does not surface this.
